Manufacturing metal parts by fused filament fabrication (FFF) is known to be labour intensive, time-consuming with unclear application fit. To address these barriers, we will first take a look at customers' applications that are suitable to be produced with metal FFF together with the economics of the process to the final metal part.  We will then examine the challenges metal FFF users have faced so far, followed by the announcement of a dedicated new Ultimaker product that has been built with the aim to officially unlock metal printing on the Ultimaker platform.
