About
In ancient times boxers were used to wrap leather belts as a gear. In 18th century the Jack Broughton "The Father of Boxing” who was third heavyweight boxing champion of England, formulated the first set of boxing rules, and inventor of mufflers, the precursors of modern boxing. Until 1930’s boxing gloves had horse hair for padding. The major and only innovation came in 1950-60’s when use of modern padding materials such as synthetic foams, latex rubber or foam rubber, PU foams came in existence which replaced mecerllers rope or smooth stones as a fist loading element.

Since 1930 until now there was no change in design or technology in manufacturing of the boxing and combat sport equipment’s in terms of protecting the structural integrity of the boxers. The boxing hand grenade is a pioneer in bringing the transformative change in the way boxing gloves are made going forward by inventing Fist-Loader and The Ghost Gripbar3D which are manufactured with smart and innovative materials from CarbonDLS CLIP technology which is an additive manufacturing technology.

The journey from traditional foam to futuristic lattice based boxing and combat sport equipment’s such as Fist-loader and The Ghost Gripbar3D which are breathable, lightweight lattice designs and have a brilliant mechanical response in terms of shock absorbing property for protection of boxers will be shared in this presentation.
