4D Biomaterials is introducing a patented range of novel bioresorbable and biocompatible polymeric 3D printing resin-inks called 4Degra®. 4Degra® offer a compelling set of advantages over the incumbent polyester-based materials used in resorbable devices. The resin-inks and their degradation products are non-toxic, and their properties can be tuned to suit a wide range of medical device applications across nano, micro, and macro scales. 4Degra® will enable medical device innovators to create new tissue engineering scaffolds, drug delivery vehicles, and other complex device designs optimising outcomes in reconstructive surgery and highly targeted drug delivery applications. Initial in-vitro and in-vivo testing has provided strong evidence of the improved biocompatibility and tissue regeneration properties that will both underpin our competitive advantage and enable patients and other health sector stakeholders to benefit from better treatment options for a range of life-changing conditions.
